But everything's going well so far, with Norma dropping me off at the airport in Syracuse at 5:30 am- the cost of living in rural upstate NY being you need to leave at dawn to go anywhere, and you always get home at midnight ;-)
As I write this, I'm flying somewhere over the Dakotas, with about 2 1/2 hours left to get to Seattle. Fortunately, my trusty United Airlines app tells me my bike bag got successfully loaded on board my transfer in Chicago, so if you are reading this, everything got safely to Seattle! Now I'm almost ready to get rolling :-)
The plan is to build up the bike today at my motel near SeaTac, then go out for a good shakedown ride in the morning to see if I need to hit a bike shop for any last minute adjustments or gear. Then it's truly time to hit the road, first thing Friday...
wow, I am green with envy.... or caz lake seaweed. ( one or the other) So looking forward to reading and watching this progress. Traveling with a bike in bag is always a gamble and I am glad you didn't have any issues. Good luck and thanks for entertaining all of us back in EBC land.
ReplyDeleteHappy to anyone following along vicariously! So far, I'm having a lot of fun--- the riding is challenging, but the scenery's totally worth it!
